With the year-end premiere of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena airing on Friday, January 22nd, I thought it would be helpful to remind everyone that Geekvolution is now offering all three seasons of the brilliant show with English subtitles. Spartacus first aired on Starz in January 2010 and set an entirely new standard for television productions. It offers breathtakingly beautiful scenery, sophisticated acting, and innovative fight choreography. If you’ve never seen this medieval series before, now is your chance to jump right in at season one! Check out the rest of our blog post for more information about Spartacus. http://www.geekvolutionstore. com/spartacus.html Starz.com is your source for Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. http://www.starz.com/spartacus-gods-of-the-arena/show/3606231 On February 18, 2013, a fan asked a question on the official Spartacus Facebook page: “How do I find the complete season 1 – 3 collection on disc?” The answer was "the whole series is available on DVD and Blu Ray at Best Buy. Also Amazon." This was the response of the Spartacus Facebook page: "We are working on getting this rectified as quickly as possible, apologies for any inconvenience." The complete first season DVD and Blu-ray were not available at Best Buy or Amazon on February 18, 2013. (They were available at Amazon on March 2, 2013.) However, on February 18, 2013, the first three seasons were available on Netflix. CLIP: Season 1 - Escape From The House of Batiatus Spartacus: Redemption Movie Trailer The following appeared online in September 2012: Spartacus has been renewed for a Third Season. This is great news for fans of this scandalous series. After all, after the ending of the first season, it could have been considered a standalone series. Everyone who viewed this initial season will understand how it could have ended. Yet, the producers decided to continue this tale. The second season was not as well-received as the first one. The quality of writing was much better but the acting certainly suffered in some episodes. As for the third season, I thought it was somewhat disappointing overall. It also suffered from what is referred to as "an ending problem." No matter how you got there, you always seemed to go back to Rome intact. This is not the way it happened in history. What makes this show so incredible is that it exceeds expectations of what television entertainment can be. Originally, the producers set out to create a series based on the Spartacus: Blood and Sand 13-episode season 1. The story is highly condensed and takes many liberties with historical accuracy for dramatic effect. eccc085e13
